mocha mornings

Long-term friends and coffee at a tiny, tiny cafe. What could be better on a Saturday?

We were at Brother Baba Budan, a lovely little place in the city. The clientele was so interesting. Parents with toddlers, ordering babycinos. Beautiful, fine-featured girls with striking clothes and pretty jewelry.  Big tradesmen, with big smiles to match. And friends catching up, connecting over coffee, in a busy yet intimate space.  In, out, in, out… everyone was so beautiful and different in their own way.

Here are some drawings I did at the cafe, of one of the baristas, and some customers. Drawing in these small notebooks are hugely gratifying… they fill up very quickly!
