(The last few were taken with the night mode function. How adorable does the State Library look, all clean, tiny and model-like?)
I can be really hard on myself when trying to accomplish tasks, because I’m pretty goal-oriented. I get scared that I may not meet those goals perfectly. So today I repeated this mantra to myself: “Don’t attach yourself to outcomes.” And things just flowed! The evening unfolded organically after work, starting with iced chocolates at the latest chocolate cafe on Brunswick Street, then an unexpected dumpling dinner, and ending at an open air bar, overlooking the city center. Most satisfying.
We tried a Vegemite ganache chocolate, and were bitterly disappointed to find that it tasted pleasant and sweet, rather like a Christmas pudding. We were denied the opportunity to pull faces and proclaim loudly how weird it was!
A Monday night has never tasted so sweet, knowing that there’s no work tomorrow!
