Some shots from our recent collaborative art session for our upcoming group show, ‘Joining Forces’. Last Saturday, I was in the company of six other excellent human beings and artists. We wielded our pens and exercised our imagination, and came up with seven amazing pieces in just one afternoon.
It’s terrific because everything comes so easily when we work together. I think it’s because we know that we are supported by each others abilities. We are also eager to let loose and watch what happens when we draw on top of other people’s marks.
For everyone who has been following our collaborative art adventures, I will be teaching a class on collaborative art next Tuesday. It is hosted by Laneway Learning, and starts at 8 pm at Little Mule Cafe in the CBD.
I will be talking about the things we have learned in our collaborating experience, and how to apply it to your art practice and life. I will also facilitate a collaborative drawing session, where everybody will draw together, and contribute to each others drawings.
You can find more details, and sign up here: http://www.lanewaylearning.com/2013/03/13/collaborative-drawing/
This class is suitable for people of any skill level. Come along and learn some new ways of drawing and creating together! See you there!
